A warm connection with your counsellor is vital to be able to explore your thoughts and feelings, so it is important to find the right counsellor for you. It has to be someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. An initial free telephone conversation with me is a good place to start, for you to see how you feel when talking to me.
I provide a space for us to work together with empathy, taking into account your unique personal beliefs and
individual choices in your life.
I am a Psychodynamic Therapist and I work in a very warm, relational way. I am BACP registered with a 1st Class Hons Degree in Counselling. I am currently doing Doctoral Research under Chester University on the topic of recovery from high control and influence, and the effect upon identity and
freedom of choice.
I have advanced training in working with clients who have experienced religious trauma and want support in
post cult recovery.
This is a specific model of therapy for this area of recovery and I trained with
Dr Gillie Jenkinson.
I work one to one with both adults and young people. My way of working with young people is more creative, using a relaxed exploratory style, art and resources, whether online or in person. I also work with a local charity supporting young people with vision impairment, and their families.
Having worked in the NHS for over 15 years, both at a major cancer hospital and in the community in palliative care support, I work with issues of chronic illness, pain and cancer survivorship.
I have a therapy room in Epsom, or I work via video or telephone.
Together we can explore some of your past experiences. These will have been influenced by upbringing, family, culture and environment amongst other things. Having a safe & warm space to explore the impact these have had on you can create a greater awareness of
who you are today.
My belief is that counselling is a truly valuable investment into your own emotional
well-being.

Currently available for supervisees,
Monday to Wednesday, flexible times.
I offer a warm and supportive space for you as a supervisee. My original training in the 7-eyed model of supervision allows us to look at your whole experience of working with your clients. I use creativity and psychoeducation in my own way of working with my clients, so this also features in my supervision style.
I believe that supervision is a vital space for you to feel supported in all aspects of your practice. We will spend time together exploring how you practice with your clients, navigating challenges and empowering your growth as a therapist. I also encourage you to use the space to think about your own ongoing wellbeing and the impact of the work on your overall self.
Are you a therapist supporting clients who have experienced religious trauma, spiritual abuse or cultic dynamics (religious or non-religious)?
I offer an informed supervision for work in these specialist areas. Contact me for an intial discussion to explore your needs.
